In one box you get 8 channels of digital S/PDIF inputs, a stereo analog input, a superb professional Word Clock source and USB access to and from your computer. Ironically, we all look for gear with pristine digital outputs and then find we can only use them one at a time. Or you end up having a host of clocking issues (which component is the master?). USB Port for PC-Based Recording The M-1000 even lets you integrate your USB-equipped PC into the mix. Using a USB cable, you can route digital signals from a computer into the M-1000, where they can be mixed with other input channels. The results can then be sent back out to the computer for recording.
