It corresponds to the front panel of a hardware synthesizer, sampler or effects unit, where the knobs and switches for operating the device are located. Every REAKTOR instrument (and several hundreds are available) will look different, because each one is designed for different needs and the REAKTOR designer can freely define where to put which knobs and faders for easy editing. • Structure Window • Besides the Panel every instrument has a structure view. In principle it corresponds to the inner life of a hardware synthesizer, or better yet, a modular synthesizer. The structure shows all Modules and Macros (a combination of Modules), such as oscillators, amplifiers, filters, envelope generators, effects, mixers, sampler modules and much more, which represent the instrument. The user can individually add, remove, and exchange modules, and change the cabling to built a new instrument. Nearly every added module will have interface elements (knobs, switches, displays etc.) that can be seen and freely arranged in the Panel Window. • Make Music Now: The Core Library • REAKTOR 4 comes with a completely new Library of exceptional instruments for an immediate start into producing. The outstanding and well-sorted Library includes a complete range of instruments and effects created by top sound designers, each with a full bank of presets. • The complete spectrum of classic and futuristic sounds are included, from rich analog basses to brilliant additive leads, from sequenced percussion to exotic soundscapes. Product authorization over the Internet is very simple for users. • This new authorization system is a part of the all around expansion of NI’s online services, and provides for an even more convenient link between the software and additional free online offers and benefits, including updates, tutorials, online support and access to the enormous REAKTOR User Library, which currently includes more than 1100 REAKTOR instruments for free download. • REAKTOR 4 and REAKTOR SESSION can be used for 30 days without being authorized. After installation REAKTOR creates a System ID tied to certain components of the computer, such as the CPU, the operating system and the date. With the help of a convenient registration tool included with REAKTOR, the customer registers the System ID with Native Instruments. Then they receive an “Authorization Key” (several-digit number) per email, which is then copied into REAKTOR’s registration tool to complete the permanent authorization. • The authorization process is not at all complicated.
