Audio-Technica AT4050CM5 40-Series Large-Diaphragm Microphone with ShockmountIf you've got a serious studio, you need serious microphones. Mics are the heart and soul of the recording studio. You can have all the tricky outboard gear you can find, all the latest hard disk doodads and gizmos, but if your mics are weak, your tracks are going to be weak. The AT4050CM5 is a high-line capacitor mic from Audio Technica that will put a warm finish on your vocal recordings that you never thought your studio could have. The large-diaphragm design gives extended frequency response, and the symmetrical, direct-coupled electronics allow excellent transient response and low distortion. If you're recording live, it will make your recordings better.
