8 ¯ Yamaha Motif Yamaha MOTIF 76 Key Music Production Synthesizer - Troy
I loved it

8 ¯ GT-6B bass effects Boss GT6B Bass Effects Processor - Crazy dave
It is a little complicated to learn but I played on a GT-3 Guitar effects for a couple of years and this taught me how to use it. If you get one you need to dedicate a couple of weeks to this product. Once you learn it is is a wonderful tool to compliment your playing abilities. The learning process is the only reason that it didn't score higher.

10 ¯ Please Roland FantomX8 88-Key Sampling Workstation Synthesizer Keyboard - brynn

8 ¯ roland vm-3100 studio pack Roland Studio Pack PCI Recording Package VM3100Pro - blue eye soul
Not bad, for the price its a good deal. Great effects. Easy to use, alittle bit of a problem whith interfacing . its a good product but its almost not worth the troubles. its hard to get pops and cracks out too

8 ¯ Sound Forge Sony SoundForge Stereo Editing Software (Windows) - AudioChild
Great, great tool for audio post! I've made some pretty cool sfx with this program. Better yet, it was wicked easy! This is also a great program for music too. I've tweaked many a sample with this program and have almost always come out with some pretty sick stuff. I recommend it to anyone with a PC

8 ¯ great Edirol SD20 Studio Canvas USB/Serial/MIDI Module - drweaver
The Edirol SD-20 is a great module for the price. There are a lot of high quality sounds. I have created very professional sounding music with the SD-20 in a variety of styles (jazz, synth, pop)

10 ¯ Worthless crap from a scam company Event TR8 Tuned Reference Biamplifier Studio Monitors Pair - Nv
DO NOT go with Event. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with. They are quite literally the most unfriendly, unprofessional, lousiest excuses for business people I have ever had the distinct displeasure to deal with. And that is only when I was able to actually get a hold of them because, you see, they have a habit of ignoring emails and not picking up their phones and of not calling you back even when you leave nice messages. I own a pair of TR8s and was thoroughly unimpressed. They aren't all that flat as they hype them to be. "Tuned". . . HA! Yeah right. And one of my pair went kaput after only a year of moderate use. In fact, in my experience with the company, I would go so far as to say they are cheap toys by a fly-by-night scam company with a wretched customer support dept who seem to have the same manufacturing strategy as most car companies. . . Planned obsolesence. Do your research people! A good way to find out about a company is to get ahold of their service dept before buying their product. It's easy to do and you may just walk away with a better idea of whether or not you want to do business with the company. I didn't do this and now I regret it. I am out $500 dollars and I can't seem to get anyone at the company to answer their phones or their emails about a return authorization number. HORRIBLE company! BUYER BEWARE!!!

8 ¯ Support makes all the difference... Akai DPS24 24-Track Digital Workstation 32/44.1/48/88.2/96kHz sampling rate - Tedluk
I just got a DPS24 and although I haven't had much of a chance to use it yet, I wanted to let people know that in addition to having a very impressive feature set, what sets the DPS apart in my mind is the level of support available both from Akai and also in their user forum.

I'm a member (as I'm sure many of you are) of a lot of online forums for many of the products I own. Some of them are very active, some of them are completely dead. What I have been so impressed with on the DPS24 forum, is that these people are truly helpful, respectful and silly though it might sound, caring.

This coupled with, the also impressive, level of support that Akai offers and their frequent and ongoing upgrades make this a purchase I'm confident that I will be happy with for quite some time

8 ¯ great mixer Behringer SL2442FXPRO Eurodesk 24-Channel Mixer - MusiciansNews.com

10 ¯ Novation Ks4 Novation KS4 49-Key Synthesizer - Ase
Real great synth reminds me of my Waldorf Q

8 ¯ Boss BR-1180 CD BOSS BR-1180 Digital Recording Studio - Marknmphs
This is a great mulit-track. Sure you can "plug in and go" but if you'r wanting to use the 1180 for recording songs you got to read the instructions, or better yet find the Video Owners Manual (at a low price if you can 15$ ) it helps. Work up short arangements and learn the 1180 to begian with, after that go for a full song. Other users have said that the CD drawer is "soft". . . It is becareful The drums are not really that hard to use. You just have to want it! The vocal fx sound nice. As for the Guitar. . . I prefer using a POD 2. 0 with the electric and the Boss fx with an acoustic (mic) Shop around and find one at a great price.

10 ¯ Korg Trinton ProX Korg Triton ProX 88 Key Workstation And Sampler Keyboard - Noleman
I have played the rest, but now finally own the best. The 88 key workstation continues to amaze me and is worthy successor to the M-1.

3 ¯ vs840gx Roland VS840GX Digital Studio Workstation - Rogue
I have owned a vs840gx for two years and yesterday my Iomega zip drive developed what is known as the "click of Death" . Over the years I have come to accept the superior quality of roland gear but this zip drive broke my heart !!

10 ¯ Worst Of it's class! Korg Triton Synth/Sampler Rack Module GM Level 2 compatibe - Samba
Worst
Dont buy it
The sounds are the same as a triton.
No USB even!
Even the sampler needs a tweak
Lot of uprading to do!!
You can miss this one for sure!

I am suffering right now!
That's why

9 ¯ Yamaha DGX300 Yamaha DGX300 76-key Portable Keyboard - Msh
I just purchased the DGX300 and could not be happier with this 76 note keyboard. I compared to Casio (in similar price range. ) and found the DGX300 superior in intuitive use and in the sound. The built-in speakers are my only complaint. Compared in the showroom the Casio comes out a bit better. HOWEVER, when hooked into an auxillary set of speakers the DGX comes out brighter. The lower bass notes on the Yamaha were dull and lower volume but are just great with better speakers. Can't say the same for Casio.

9 ¯ A very nice piece of gear. Roland KC350 Keyboard Amplifier - anodyne777
I own a Behringer KX1200 keyboard amp/PA system and ended up discovering the low end and mid range were shot as I set up for a gig, not even 5 months after buying it new. I bought it because it was a great combination of low price (the lowest) and features (very versatile). I don't know if the fault was Behringer's quality or the unit being pushed to hard, but I wanted to mention this amp simply to contrast it to the KC350.

That being said, I bought the KC350 because I cannot wait for my Behringer to come back from the shop (it's under warranty). I was amazed at the clarity of the amp, even with my band's vocals and supporting tracks playing through it as well. Nothing I input into this thing seems to ever get lost. The bass thunders, without rattling. The high end is peircing but pronounced, not a staticish sound. The KC350 also has all of the features of the Behringer, plus stereo inputs for each of the four channels (the Behringer has one jack per channel). The sound is just wonderful, and it maintains its
Clarity even at deafening levels.

The only thing I resented about this purchase was the price. My Behringer gets the job done, and despite not having the perfect tone and a few less features, I apprieciate the affordable price tag.

But in the end I have realized that sometimes you get what you pay for. The Roland KC350 rocks
