TC Electronic PowerCore X8 Sonnox Oxford EQ, Sonnox Oxford Dynamics plug-ins
TC Electronic introduced the limited PowerCore X8 Sonnox Edition, a PowerCore X8 bundled with the highly acclaimed Sonnox Oxford EQ and Sonnox Oxford Dynamics plug-ins. PowerCore Sonnox Edition will be available at authorized TC Electronic dealers in March 2008 at a suggested retail price of EUR 1599.
PowerCore X8 features eight DSP engines, which offers twice the processing power of PowerCore FireWire, and allows even more plug-ins to be used simultaneously with native digital audio workstations. PowerCore X8 comes with 14 included plug-ins as well as PowerCore 3.0 system software, which adds exciting new UIs and features to the PowerCore platform. Adding the two Sonnox plug-ins, PowerCore X8 Sonnox Edition is one of the most powerful mixing solutions for DAWs available today.
The EQ plug-in is based on the OXF-R3 EQ section. It is a fully functional 5-band application with selectable shelf settings on LF and HF sections. Additionally, separate variable slope low pass and high pass filters are provided. The EQ also features 4 different selectable EQ types that cover most of the EQ styles currently popular amongst professional users, including some legacy styles which are renowned for their artistic capability. The use of novel coefficient generation and intelligent processing design provides unparalleled performance that surpasses analogue EQ in both sound quality and artistic freedom. This plug-in may well provide all the EQ you ever needed.
