WMS 40 – The Professional Entry-Level Wireless System
Looking for superior sound on a budget? The professional WMS 40 is for you. This entry-level wireless system operates in the UHF range and is ideal for small stages, clubs, concert tours, worship centers, hotels, fitness centers, etc. The WMS 40 stands for easy handling, excellent performance, and a very affordable price. This model uses the SO 40 snapon, letting you plug the snapon into the XLR connector on any standard XLR equipped dynamic microphone -- and it's even lighter than it was with the cable attached!

Wireless Made Easy
The WMS 40 disproves all prejudices against wireless systems. Easy to use and flexible, it is a genuine plug-and-play system: plug it in, insert batteries, and power up. Fixed preset frequencies allow you to unpack and use the system without studying the manual first. A complete set of indicators makes it easy to check system status.

Superior Sound Made Affordable
Even though the WMS 40 is one of the most cost-efficient wireless systems available today, it provides the high level of quality, sound, ruggedness, and reliability AKG is known for. Advanced circuitry ensures smooth operation and perfect sound even under difficult conditions.

Handheld or Bodypack, the Choice is Yours
The Handheld System includes an HT 40 handheld transmitter with D 880 microphone element, an SR 40 receiver, and a stand adapter. The high quality D 880 element provides the same brilliant vocal sound as its hardwire Emotion Series counterpart. The Bodypack System comprises a PT 40 transmitter for use with an optional microphone of your choice and an SR 40 receiver. Either system includes batteries for the transmitter and an AC adapter for the receiver.

SR 40 Diversity
The SR 40 diversity is a stationary receiver for all WMS 40 and microtools Series transmitters. Operating in the 710 MHz to 865 MHz UHF range, the SR 40 diversity is perfectly suited for small stages, clubs, small touring systems, places of worship, hotels, gyms, etc. The plug and play concept and fixed preset frequency let you set up and operate the system quickly and efficiently even if you are not a trained sound engineer.

Professional outputs include a balanced XLR and unbalanced TS 1/4 in. jack for connecting to every kind of equipment. An output level control allows you to match the SR 40 diversity's output signal to the input stage of the subsequent device. The rugged half-rack case gives you the choice of using the receiver free-standing or mounting it in a 19 in. rack.

• The SO 40 snapon is probably the most cost efficient way to upgrade a hardwire microphone for wireless use. All you have to do is disconnect the microphone cable and plug the snapon into the XLR connector on the microphone. The snapon with its small and light glass fiber reinforced case will add less weight to the microphone than the cable did. An input gain control lets you match the SO 40 to the microphone output level. A noiseless on/off switch allows you to mute any microphone with no on/off switch. Integrated charging contacts and the optional CU 40 charging unit make recharging batteries easier than ever. Replaceable color code elements allow easy identification of the various microphone channels in any multichannel concert setup.
