Elixir Strings selects Musicorp

Elixir Strings, the pioneer of long-life string technology, is proud to welcome as a new distributor South Carolina-based Musicorp, Inc. A Kaman Music company, Musicorp is a leading distributor of music products, accessories and lighting equipment.

“At Musicorp, we are always looking for the next cutting-edge music product, and by listening to our customers, we choose new products and brands to carry that will meet their needs,” says Don Rhodes, VP of Merchandising. “From the day Elixir joined the music industry, it has been recognized as the premium guitar string. Many major guitar brands started using Elixir strings, and consumer popularity increased quickly.”

Kaman Music Corporation, a distributor of Elixir Strings, acquired Musicorp in 2005. The addition of Musicorp as a distributor of Elixir Strings strengthens the mutual long-term strategies of both, says Rhodes.

“With Elixir Strings, we will be able to better serve our customers’ needs with the highest quality products,” says Rhodes. “Industry-leading brands like Elixir opens doors for new customers who may not have previously purchased from Musicorp.”

Musicorp has held sales and product training for inside sales representatives and scheduled the national sales meeting in January to introduce Elixir Strings to outside sales representatives. “We will represent Elixir as a premium brand in our marketing materials, such as Musicorp catalogs and sale flyers,” Rhodes explains. “Our role as a distributor is to help manufacturers increase market share by selling
to as many customers as possible, especially the small to medium sized independent stores.”
