Scale Music Theory: Everything about the C major scale
In this part on scales and the music theory behind it we take an extensive look at the C major scale. How it is made, what is important to know about it, how you can use it and make it sound like a real major scales, how to use it in a song, how it relates to chords and anything else you ever wanted to know about the C major scale.
What we learned in the previous pages was that a scale is basically a group of notes that have no other relation to each other then that they are given a name.
The C major scale is one of the most important scales to start learning because it has no sharps or flats, and is very easy to play on most instruments like piano (simply play all the white keys). The official name of the major scale is Ionian, and belongs to the group of the church scales.
