Bars Measures and Bar-Lines in Sheet Music
The Bar line is a line used in sheet music to indicate the end of a Bar. The Bar is used for grouping note grouping and to explain the rhythm. The old English name measure can also be used for Bar.
The end of each Bar is marked usually with a single vertical line from the top line to the bottom line of the staff (5 horizontal sheet music lines). This line is called a bar-line.
