Steinberg Launches Sales Training Online, Online Course to Help Dealers Sell MoreLOS ANGELES, CA. Steinberg North America, a leading supplier of audio software and hardware, today announced the launch of Steinberg Sales Training (SST), an online interactive course designed to train salespeople on how to sell Steinberg products."With technology changing so rapidly, it's hard for new salesman to get up to speed. We want to help the salesman make more money, and think that SST can help new and existing music retail employees learn the latest products and sell more, " comments Steinberg North America Steve Garth. "Digital technology and software can be very profitable for music dealers so we developed the SST to help dealers sell more. As our product line continues to grow, we are looking for new ways to educate dealers." The first chapter in the planned series was released at NAMM and is titled Basic Sales Techniques. It covers general sales techniques that can be applied to any sales situation as well as how to sell Cubase and Steinberg product specifically. The tutorial is accompanied by a series of roll play situations and tests that track the progress of the salesperson. The best feature of the program is that the content is all on-line and the video is all on an accompanying CD-ROM. This means that the content can be changed and updated with basic web updates while the video comes off the CD-ROM so the salesperson doesn't have to wait for slow, choppy, streaming video. In addition, the course can be administered and tracked on the web so that the dealer and Steinberg know how proficient the salesforce is and more importantly, where they are deficient. This will help Steinberg focus product training where it is most needed. A well informed sales staff will help sales and cut down the number of technical call to both the dealer and Steinberg.
