Steinberg AMD partner for Cubase VST 5.0 R5Steinberg Media Technologies AG, Hamburg, is to optimize its software for use with AMD Athlon™ processors. Cubase VST 5.0 R5, the first product version to be specially adapted to Athlon processors, was released in June. Other Steinberg software products will also include Athlon optimizations in their respective update releases. Steinberg has been tailoring its software to Intel Pentium™ processors since 1999, making the AMD Athlon processor the second CPU type for which Steinberg products are optimized.“Professional music production software places demands on CPU performance.
