Genelec continues growth with new appointments

Genelec, Inc., U.S., distributor of Genelec Active Monitoring Systems, announces two new Professional Product Group appointments effective immediately. The announcement was made by Will Eggleston, Genelec's Marketing Director, and further underscores the company's ongoing commitment to the professional audio market.

Bruce Bartone has been appointed to the position of National Sales Manager, Professional Products. In his new position, Bartone's responsibilities will include managing Genelec's pro audio rep force in the United States as well as overseeing sales in South America. He will also be responsible for implementing dealer sales and support programs for the full line of Genelec active main, mid-field, near field monitors and subwoofers for traditional stereo as well as multi-channel applications. A twenty year veteran of the professional and consumer audio industries prior to joining Genelec, Bartone held positions at Audio Exchange International, Inc., as U.S. Product and Marketing Manager, and most recently, Director of Marketing at Professional Audio Design.

Tuomo Tolonen has been named to the position of Administrative Assitant - Sales and Marketing for Professional Products. A graduate of the Art Institute of Seattle, Tuomo has an extensive background in multitrack and hard-disk based recording as well as digital editing and CD mastering. In his new position, Tuomo will help facilitate Genelec's Professional Products Sales and Marketing programs.

Commenting on the appointments, Eggleston stated, "We are very fortunate to have Bruce and Tuomo as part of the Genelec Professional Products team. I am confident that both individuals will contribute to the success and expansion of Genelec in the U.S."
