Waters Edge Studios strikes 5.1 with Dynaudio Acoustics

Waters Edge Studios, located close to Munich at the west bank of the Ammersee, has chosen Dynaudio Acoustics monitors for their control rooms. Waters Edge Studios is a brand new State of the Art facility aimed at 5.1 recordings, mixings and postproductions, and with 2 production and 3 recording rooms full of the latest surround technology they will qualify for premier league of the European recording industry.
David Ellis, Management and Marketing Director, explains: "During studio planning, extensive consideration was given to the particular requirements multi-channel technologies bring. Acoustics, studio monitors, amplification and the technical inventory guarantee completion of surround productions of the highest quality. Both our production rooms feature active 5.1 monitor systems from Dynaudio Acoustics. Our main production room monitor system is based on the M4A custom designed by Andy Munro."
The Waters Edge Studios acoustics take account of the specific 5.1 requirements, as do the surround monitors, which were specially designed according to their own stringent specifications. The installation was done by Mega Audio in cooperation with ACM.
To comply with the excessive demands Waters Edge Studios also went for TC Electronic System 6000 Multi-channel Processing Platform as the heart of the facility, with access via network from both control rooms.
